Nintendo Power - Reel Fishing Paradise 3D, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries: review details

Reel Fishing Paradise 3D
- repetitive and dul
- pick your bait/tackle, cast your line, and reel in your fish over and over again
- good controls
- fishing is uncomplicated
- 40 different types of fish
- no real mission variety
- customize an aquarium
- final score: 6

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries

- Graphics are “pretty darn impressive”
- game suffers from framerate problems
- nice use of 3D with slider at max
- nice use of 3DS controls
- A button to quickly heal yourself
- moving while shooting is poorly executed
- meleeing enemies can become “monotonous”.
- variety of enemies helps to keep the player engaged
- some extremely strong enemies
- co-op: game over for both characters if just one dies
- best to play it in short bursts
- final score: 7.5
