Thor/Captain America: Super Soldier hitting 3DS in Sept/Oct
SEGA of America, Inc. and Marvel Entertainment today announced release dates for their tandem of superhero video games, Thor: God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier for the Nintendo 3DS handheld. Thor: God of Thunder will be available September 13th, 2011 followed by Captain America: Super Soldier on October 25th, 2011. Both titles were released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS earlier this year.
Thor: God of Thunder takes players through a massive adventure for which the Eisner Award-winning writer and lead Thor comic book author, Matt Fraction, served as story consultant and created an original story specifically for the video game that is set within the same universe as this year’s Thor film from Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures. In the game, which features the voice and likeness of Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, players battle to save Thor’s home world of Asgard from destruction.
Captain America: Super Soldier transports players to the darkest days of World War II to face the Red Skull and his Hydra forces. Playing as Captain America and wielding his legendary shield, gamers will engage in free-flowing combat and acrobatic platforming to infiltrate Hydra’s mysterious castle. Once inside, players will battle the infamous Iron Cross, the forces of Hydra, and a host of nefarious enemies lifted from the pages of the comics as they seek uncover the secrets of the evil scientist, Arnim Zola, and his wartime experiments.

Fire Emblem 3DS to be announced soon? Rumoured details
Could Nintendo be about to reveal a new Fire Emblem title for the Nintendo 3DS? That's the rumour going around this weekend.
Allegedly called Fire Emblem: Blue Sacred Sword and Red Demon Lance, the game is said to take place 100 years after Sealed Sword, with a story revolving around Princess of Kingdom Bern and Prince of Kingdom Lycia, each telling the story from a different perspective.
In addition, the game is said to feature a Casual Mode for newbies and a Lunatic Mode for advanced players.
What do you reckon the chances are of this all being confirmed as true?

Silent Hill producer discusses 3DS, Wii U possibilities
A portion of a Siliconera interview with senior associate producer Tomm Hulett...
S: Since Silent Hill already has a game coming to Vita, are you planning on a 3DS or Wii U game?
TH: 3DS, I love. I’m actually really happy with the console. We could do something cool there. Downpour is in 3D, it has that option. Hopefully, if people like that we can explore it more on 3DS. Wii U, I haven’t had a chance to check out yet. I was driving to LA during the press conference and I couldn’t see it at Nintendo’s booth. I heard some things about it. I was in charge of Shattered Memories which was designed for the Wii. I thought we did really cool stuff with motion control, so I’m sure there are some cool things we can do a touch screen in front of you and you can take it with you. Hopefully, in the future I will get a chance to see it and we can come up with some cool stuff for Silent Hill.

01net's report - Iwata in hot water, rethinking 3rd parties, 3DS 2nd analog stick, Wii U dev status
The final 01net feature on Nintendo comes with some more rumors and allegations. The bolded bits below are from a Google translation.
On Iwata's position with the company...
If we are to believe our source, the chairman of the board, Satoru Iwata, is now in very delicate position, if not on an ejection seat. Iwata is generally appreciated by the staff of the company, many employees worried about his fate. Also according to our source, the fact that he publicly assumed responsibility for a difficult start to the 3DS and voluntarily cut his salary in half may not be enough to save his place in the medium term.
On working with third parties, changing policies and the leaker being a Nintendo employee...
After our interview, we could not stop us from asking what our source had indeed been as feverish motivate and unusual revelations. He replied almost verbatim: "It's sort of a political act. As an employee of Nintendo, I have dedicated my life to this company. Given the turn of things, many of us fear what the future holds. If I address you, because I think the players and the shareholders deserve to know what happens behind the scenes. I think they represent our best chance to drive the necessary changes to Nintendo finally takes radical decisions necessary to adapt to new market constraints. I do not think that the situation can continue long in that state. We must completely rethink our policy of cooperation with developers and publishers. We must offer them the means to give the best of themselves. They are more likely than ever to want to work with us, but the conditions we provide are for the time being the least favorable in the industry. I do not think they will stay very long if we do not make a decisive move in their direction. "
Once again stating that another analog stick is coming to 3DS...
No competitor has such a range of characters and franchises universally adored - to the envy of Disney - or such a capacity to create new ones, as strong in the future. Out a portable machine dedicated to the game but equipped with one analog stick in 2011 was a mistake. The fact that we have recognized, and we do what is necessary to remedy this, let me suggest that 3DS has before it many years of success.
On working through the Wii U development issues and turning it into Nintendo's 'best idea in ages'...
As for the Wii U, despite its serious problems of development - you can be sure - will be resolved, it is probably the best idea we have had for ages. The press, like players, do not seem to fully realize the potential of this revolutionary machine. It's a whole new way to create and play before us. And given the graphics quality achieved by the hardware of the present generation, I think the technical superiority of our future competitors in the market for machinery room will not weigh heavily in the balance, faced with what we will bring in terms of gameplay . U The Wii is the future of gaming. You will not soon realize it!"
